You Never Really Understand A Person Until You Consider Things From His Point of View

Most of the time when people gossip, fight, and lie, they do not think of the other person. Consider, however, what if people did think of the other person's point of view? What if everyone stopped to think about the other person's feelings and how our actions or words will affect them? People would be more respectful towards one another. There would be a lot less fighting, wars, racism, gossip, and lies. Everyone would be equal no matter what the person's age, race, or gender. There would be more giving and less taking. People would be more understanding. Additionally, there might be more pity and less harsh judgments of others.

Once we consider another person's point of view, we would be less likely to jump to conclusions right away about someone else. We would all make less wrong judgments about someone else simply by gaining a true understanding about what other people go through and how that affects their words and actions.

In To Kill A Mockingbird, Atticus Finch does what is right, not just what is easy. He sees other people's feelings and tried to understand what they are going through. Harper Lee wants other people to do the same. Everyone would be kinder to one another and care much more for one another if we all had their viewpoint. When we think about things from someone else's view, it helps us understand what they are feeling and helps you think about what you would do in their situation. If everyone did that, I think it would be a lot harder to make judgments about others and easier to help the person, instead.

We all go through different things in our lives, and even if we imagine ourselves in another person's shoes, sometimes, we still do not fully understand. I think if everyone just stopped and thought about that before they spread gossip or made snap judgments about someone, it would make a big, positive impact on our world today.
